The crux, if there is one, might be the start. Various types of jams are possible on this short route.

 Like other routes at Philosophy Wall, it has anchors that can be accessed from scrambling up top, but this one will go on gear, too. Remember that it's limestone.

Fun starting move pulling up to a rail.  Same slab top out as the two routes to the left. 

This is a wide crack, but there are also plenty of face holds to use. If you want to plug gear in limestone, here you go. The rock seems reasonably good until the crack ends. You can protect the finish, but it's choss.

A short, fun sport route that feels easier than the 5.7 grade. I'd call it 5.4 or 5.5, but I like to respect the FA and publish a route at his suggested grade.

Fun short route with big moves on good holds.  Harder if you don’t have good reach. 

Crux is pulling off the ground. Be ready to clean the route and beware of holly leaves. 

Crux is down low on thin crimps that lead to a slopery slab section.  Holds are more positive at the top.

Apparently, this route was established as an easy way to get up top and set topropes for other routes. The 5.7 is moving past the one bolt. Before and after that, it is much easier.The anchors are two hangers, and they are not rap bolts. The best way for the last climber to get down is to rap off different anchors or find the scrambling descent. Rapping off this route's anchors might not kill your rope, but is it worth risking it on a 20' route?

Climb through a low roof start and follow a thin crack to an easier finish. Lots of choss on this section of the wall.

Slabby moves with a nice flake hold up high.

Pull up on good pockets and make a slab move or two and then you’re at the top.

Begin at the triangular-shaped hueco just left of the arete. Traverse left to another hueco (awkward because both holds are reachable from the ground for many people) and then go up, staying right of the bolt line.

Pull the low mini-roof, move up and right to a ledge, and then finish on easier ground.

Slabby delicate climbing with a few nice monos.

Climb the right-facing edge a few feet right of a huge triangular hueco. Go up and left, finishing on Hedonism, which shares anchors. One-move wonder.

If The Matrix is not the least-used and least-appreciated spot at North Shore, this is. With only two or three bolted routes and a few trad routes on limestone and lots of toprope routes, this place gets little attention.

 The local guidebook lists over 30 toprope routes from 5.6 to 5.11d. There are numerous bolted anchors up top. Some require long slings or some cord instead of just quickdraws. Many routes share anchors.

 To get to the top, lead a bolted route or scramble up 3rd class terrain off to the right.
