A good small holds edging exercise, similar in nature to Season's End Direct and Winter Solstice.

The first pitch is popular, while the second pitch is rarely done.  Most parties that continue past the first pitch opt to do

Reckless Driving

for a second pitch.

Pitch 1: Start with tricky moves past two bolts (11c).  The difficulties getting to the first bolt are a little dependent on the exact line taken, a plumb line from the bolt is the most difficult, a couple of feet to either side is slightly easier.  From the second bolt a 10c runout takes one to the third bolt of Diamond Lane.  Fortunately, the stand up moves to the third bolt are easy as it is near groundfall at that point.  Thin moves (11c) lead past the third bolt and end at the bolted belay.

Pitch 2:  Traverse left and then up (12a) on thin climbing, joining David on the arete.  This pitch is not as good as the first pitch.  A better option is to do the second pitch of Reckless Driving.

(5.7). Start a short distance to the left of Rebolting Development, below a thin crack. Tricky lieback moves lead up to the easy runout face of David. Continue on that route to the top.

Another exercise in continuous small hold climbing.  This route begins at the end of pitch one of

Playing on the Freeway

.  The best way to do this route is to combine it with the first pitch of Playing on the Freeway.  Due to the short nature of the pitches, it is also possible to entirely skip the bolted belay and combine both pitches into a single long pitch (best value for the money).

Pitch 1:  Do the first pitch of

Playing on the Freeway

(11c) and belay at the bolted anchor (or continue on for a more challenging overall pitch).

Pitch 2:  Follow bolts up and slightly right, then back slightly left, ultimately joining David where it comes onto the face from the arete.  This section is characterized by continuous thin edging/smearing on slightly loose rock. Do it ten times and you'll probably do it ten different ways due to the changing nature of the holds.

First do an easy approach pitch, shared with David.  The second pitch goes up the chimney.  It's easier if you don't wedge yourself in too tightly.  It's also easier on a cold day when you can wear more clothing to protect your skin.

The best finish is up the 5.8 handcrack.

This is a poor climb, with an unaesthetic crux section down low, then 3rd and 4th class scrambling up a long, low angle chimney.  However, it is a very useful way of getting up to the Godzilla and Sunkist faces, and can be used as a descent after routes such as The Shadow.

This is a quality three pitch face route.  Pitch 1 (5.10D) has a long runout above the second bolt, with ground fall potential.  There is a 15 foot runout for the crux move on the second pitch, unless you can stop half way through the move to clip a bolt.

Pitch 1 is short, and goes up a nondescript gully to a large ledge.  On pitch 2 (5.7), go 5 or 10 feet up the main crack and then move up and right (crux) over an overhang.  Either continue up the left-facing chimney (well-protected, but not very aesthetic), or move right onto a beautiful easy knobby face with very little protection.  You can move left to belay in the crack/chimney, and then continue for a shorter pitch to the top.

Climb the first pitch (5.6) of

The Escalator

to ge to the base of this climb. Pitch 1 (5.8) of Delila is a long, clean, sustained lieback, with good protection. A long easy chimney (5.6) on pitch 2 leads to the top of the rock.

Essentially a less sustained variation to the first pitch of

Playing on the Freeway

(5.12a).

Start just left of Playing on the Freeway and climb a thin crack/seam (5.10+) to it's end and then thin face (5.11) past two closely spaced bolts to join

just below a large knob. Mantle the knob, clip a bolt and then make some delicate, thin moves on tiny edges/friction (crux) to the anchors. Single rope rap to the ground.

This route goes up a large, right-facing flake.  The initial section is wide enough to chimney inside.  Transitioning out to a lieback is the crux, with only one 5.8 move.  Dishes on the main wall (on the right), and on the flake itself, provided lots of footholds.

This route climbs the smooth face right of

Delila

(5.8) in three pitches, although many rap from anchors after doing the crux second pitch.

P1) Start by climbing partway up The Escaltor (5.6) and setting a belay near the start of Delila. P2) Launch up the gradually steepening face past 8 bolts and a prominent knob to bolted anchors at the base of a right-facing corner system. P3) Continue up the easy corner (5.6) to the top.

Descend from the top by rapping from anchors atop Rap Flake and then downclimbing The Escalator; if doing only the first two pitches rap to The Escalator and then downclimb that route.

A different third pitch to Rebolting Development. Let your buddy climb the last pitch of Rebolting, clean the draw on the single bolt then downclimb to the ledge and step right to climb the arete and face, mostly face.

Gets progressively harder to a tricky side pull/palm move over the bulge.

Could easily be bolted from stances, two bolts is all that would be needed.

Very good face to the right of Rebolting Development starting up the Escalator then moving left to the bolts up the steep slab/face.  Runout but easier higher to the anchors at the top of Rebolting's second pitch.  Start with very steep smearing/edging past three bolts to a slight runout moving right. Clip another bolt then climb unprotected 5.8 for a long way to the anchor of Rebolting.
