This bolted line lies immediately left of

Little John's Big Stick

. Unlike the other lines at this cliff, this one is outfitted with rust-red bolt hangers. Climb up the route on decent feet and a lot of side-pulls and stems on the slabby face for 50' until you pop right under a small bulge. This will "squeeze" you in close to LJBS for a move before you sep back left through another steep bulge to another bolt and a set of rap anchors. To descend, rap the route.

The steep bulges look intimidating from the ground, but are filled with jugs.  The crux is actually the lower angled lower section.

In my opinion, a dumb route. You can virtually step off the climb for the first 3/4 of the way on the right, ascending slope.

This is the third from left route at the crag. After an initially powerful move, balance your way up the tricky seam to the top. Don't be afraid to traverse slightly left of the bolts when the climbing turns thin.

Probably the best warmup for the harder climbs. Rossiter has this as a 10d, but it's probably a bit easier. If you're just beginning to lead 5.10, you might try something else because the run-outs through the overhang tend to get people a little spooked. Overall, nice exposure and a fun climb.

Immediately to the right of Sherrif's Tariff (with rust-colored coldshuts).  It goes to the LEFT side of the small roof/protrusion about 20' up.  It is incorrect in the D'Antonio guide (it shows Avenger but calls it Tuckered and Fried).

This is one of the more obvious lines on the rock. Climb up the obvious seam/dihedral just right of

Merry Men

. Everyone seems to climb the crux a bit differently, which makes this a fun yet strenous route. Be easy on yourself and find the no-hands rest just past the crux.

" at the last seventh clip.

Good climbing on fairly clean rock. Will clean up with more ascents. The crux is moving from the corner to the face/arete. Climb up to the first bolt and make a weird move reaching the second bolt, climb past the bolt and move left into the corner passing the third and fourth bolt, make a cool move left to the arete/face and climb up the face on good holds slinging a horn for protection to the anchor.

I don't remember any real crux, just thoughtful laybacking and stemming. It is a  pretty fun warm-up.  It is still a little dirty, but if you feel around, you'll find plenty of cleaned jugs....

Near the top right hand side of Sherwood Forest, an obvious right-facing corner leads up 40 feet to a pinnacle. Surmount this and place textbook gear in a horizontal, then make moderate moves to reach the first of 3 bolts, continuing to the top of the route.

In my opinion, this is the best route at Sherwood. Fire through the dynamic crux between the second and third bolt and then try not to get too pumped as you work the crack up to the overhang. Once at the overhang, sit down and relax. Then continue to the top through another tricky 5.11 section. 3 stars

This is, IMO, the best route at Sherwood Forest. It isn't particularly sustained, but the roof jugs will get you psyched for the last 20 feet. Climbs a vertical face to a small (3 or 4 foot) roof (there are apparently some kind of rules about which way you go up the roof to make it harder/easier, but it seemed the same both ways to me). Not as hard as it looks by any stretch of the imagination. I think Rossiter rated it 11d or something, which is just ridiculous (like most of the Sherwood Forest ratings). Do it!

Unlike the neighbors to the right, the hangers are rust-colored coldshuts.
