This route is shown clearly in the attached Photo. To reach it, approach the Thin Wall's East Side and orient according to the photo.  This would best be described as the right-most route of the left half of the wall, just left of the large right-facing corner at the 1/2 way point. The route is traditionally rated (Vogel guide) as 5.9, but it seems that everything at Thin Wall is over-graded and this felt fairer at 5.8.

One of the better routes on the Thin Wall, this takes a featured crack system 15' left of an obvious right-facing corner system.

Fun climbing down low leads to a cruxy bulge which is passed via positive incut holds and jams. One star out of five.

Great hand crack for beginners. Easy to set up TR.

Approach Thin Wall's east side. Toward the left (south) end of the east side, near the wall's highest pint, you will see a broad 3-foot roof with two tiers split by a crack.

At the far left end of this roof, a right-facing dihedral runs from the ground up to intersect it.  Child's Play is ascended via this dihedral to the roof.  At the roof make a long move to the right and then pull through the roof at a crack and finish the route by completing the crack and face above.

The route is rated 5.10d in the Vogel guide, but I felt that the route was on par or easier than several 5.10c routes I have done at J-tree.

This route is shown clearly in the attached Photo. To reach it, approach the thin Wall's E. Side and orient according to the photo.  This would best be described as the left-most route of the right half of the wall, just right of the large right-facing corner at the 1/2 way point. Climb a crack system upward just to the beginning of a bulge up top, then go up and right as necessary to stay in good rock and good holds.The route is traditionally rated (Vogel guide) as 5.8, but it seems that everything at Thin Wall is overgraded and this felt farer at 5.7.

The climbing is pleasant but the rock quality is not great.

Stem and work your way up the dihedral with some positive holds.  Steep crux comes near the top as you lieback.

Fun Solo! All there and a real kick. Also a good one for those wishing to lead something solid, easy to protect, easy approach and so on. I give it a "Star" from a solo standpoint.

Mostly laybacks on an offwidth against a less than vertical wall. Short, mediocre rock, and less than interesting climbing ranks this one fairly low compared to surrounding routes.

Climb up an offwidth (layback) between a large block and the main wall until you can stand on the block facing a fairly clean looking incipient crack. Say goodbye to the clean looking crack, turn left, and continue climbing awkward, kind of chossy, offwidth. A set of horizontal cracks under a cap-stone at the top give you an opportunity to pull a couple fun moves traversing right before toping out, possibly helping you not feel the climb was a complete waste of time.

This climb is the third major crack system from the right end of the wall. Climb a singular crack system using upward toward the top, reaching the left side of a dome like formation nea the top.Good climbing, singular line.

This route is shown clearly in the attached Photo. To reach it, approach the thin Wall's E. Side and orient according to the photo.  This climb is on the far right end of the wall, the second major crack system from the right- climbing upward to reach the right hand shoulder of a dome atop of this wall. Climb the crack system using mostly face holds upward toward the top, hooking right at the end. The climbing is reasonably solid and secure. The route is traditionally rated (Vogel guide) as 5.8, but it seems that everything at Thin Wall is over-graded and this felt fairer at 5.7.

Approach Thin Wall's east side. Toward the left (south) end of the east side, near the wall's highest point, you will see a broad 3-foot roof with two tiers split by a crack.  The right side of this roof is higher than the left.  Congratulations climbs a system of small and insecure face holds and a seam to reach the crack at the roof, then charges through the roof on better holds.  Turning the roof and establishing yourself above it is the fun and gymnastic crux.

Beta Hint- I actually got my foot stuck so badly over my head there that it was difficult to remove once past the crux sequence.

The route is rated 5.11a in the Vogel guide, but I felt that the route was more on par with the smattering of 5.10c routes I did than with the other 5.11a routes.  Like most of the lines at Thin Wall, this one can be TR'd by setting an anchor from above.  Odds are that one will be already there when you arrive if it is a weekend.  I have only bummed a TR on this, and have not led it.

This climbs the first easy looking crack right of the roofy area under a notch in the top of the formation.  The first 10 feet are the crux - be careful mantling to get to the first gear placement.  After pulling past the crux move on a good fingerlock, easy fun 5.6 jug hauling with bomber stoppers leads to a good ledge where a natural gear belay can be set.  Scramble up and left to chains to rap or scramble off.  This ledge can be reached with some exposure to set a TR, but this is an excellent beginners lead requiring only a set of stoppers.

The Vogel guidebook calls this 5.9 but it is a one move wonder, and that move didn't feel any harder than 5.8  Mostly fun 5.6

This route is shown clearly in the attached Photo. To reach it, approach the Thin Wall's east side and orient according to the photo.  This would best be described as starting in a "double crack" in the center of the right half of the wall. Climb the double crack system upward to a merge 1/3 of just to the beginning of a bulge up top, then continue up on the single crack. The jams are good, although the rock is a little poor.The route is traditionally rated (Vogel guide) as 5.9+, but it seems that everything at Thin Wall is overgraded and this felt fair at 5.8.
