This route follows the left side of the East face until it reached the Southeast ridge. From there, it follows the ridge past two notches to the summit.

Start at the low point of the rock, near the South (left side). Work your way to the ridge near a large pine tree. From there, follow a slot/chimney to the a large ledge. Alternatively, exit the slot to the right and climb the face to the top of a pinnacle and traverse left back into the slot and onto the ledge.

Crank up the short, south-facing headwall to get to the East face once again, and climb up to the ridge once more and to the next large notch. Bypass the notch by traversing West and North.

Climb up a steep, exposed 10 foot section at the notch that will deposit you on an easy 30 foot ramp that leads to the summit.

Descent - follow the Northeast ridge to a gully, and descend the gully.

This climb starts about 250 feet from the southernmost point of the rock,  just up hill from a right facing dihedral.

P1: ascend a wonderful, clean slab for 120 feet.  At the 70 foot level there is a very old bolt, this is the only protection on this pitch until you get to the 100 foot level.  Belay at the top of the right-facing dihedral on the left.

P2: make an ascending traverse to the left until you run into a water groove.  Ascend this groove, which has huge holds, and belay at a tree.  There is also a very old bolt on this pitch in the water groove.

P3: a short pitch above the tree leads to the summit.  There is a tree below the notch in the summit which is used to descend with one rope.

The exciting runout on the first pitch and the jug haul on the second make this climb a Flatiron classic.

This 500 foot route starts about 50 feet south of

Tiptoe Slab

.  The route ascends the rib in the center of Front Porch.  This would be a good first solo. After about 260 feet, you will meet up with the second pitch of

Tiptoe Slab

.  So, with a 60 meter rope, you may be just short of making the tree belay on the second pitch.  Best to do two short pitches and make the 3rd pitch end at the tree belay.  There is not a good place to belay right before the tree belay.  The last pitch is the same as

Tiptoe Slab.

Descent: Make a one rope rap to the west off a large tree.

This route is only recommended as a downclimb of the Front Porch. It is convenient in case you are soloing up one of the other routes....

From the base of the Front Porch, walk right and up (north) until you find a gully climbing North on the East Face. Follow the gully up for some 100 dirty and pine needle-y feet until you reach the Northeast ridge of the Front Porch.

From here, climb the ridge towards the top (left) in a series of broken steps. It is about 200+ feet of ridge until you reach the summit.
