This problem is found up (west) of the main Satellites area.  Hike up the hill and right of Turning Point until you reach a gully.  Follow the gully until you reach a boulder plopped down in the middle of the drainage with an obvious, overhanging arete.  The problem sit starts low on bad holds and slaps up the prow to a difficult mantle, straight over the top.  The choss rock off to the right is off.  To my knowledge has not had a second ascent?  Please give beta.  Was done as a stand start called

A very nice, left-facing arete with a sweet, tall, slab topout, right in the center of the east face of the Hobo Boulder.

This amazing line starts down low in a pit type area, with a bit of a slanted landing. It's a slightly overhanging crimpface on super solid rock. Start with two small crimps close together with a left heelhook and a right toehook. Bust up to a left sidepull crimp, move feet and then a lengthy move into a terribly small righthand crimp. From there, you've got some more moves on small holds and into a decent edge, and to the lip. Should turn out to be a very proud and sick line.

Sds on a lefthand pinch and a right hand crimp close to each other, pop up to the rail and traverse a little left. Go to a left sidepull crimp then a nice sized right move to a wide pinch at the lip. Up and over. Very nice!

Hike into the main area of the Lower Satellites by following the signs to the Third Flatiron. When you arrive at the BBC Boulder, attempt to follow a poor social trail that almost skirts the edge of the Second Flatiron towards the Upper Satellites. Halley's Comet is located on the southeast corner of a large boulder down in a drainage before you get to any of the other problems in the Upper Satellites.

Begin from a stand start on chest high holds in the dihedral under the lip. Some dynamic slaps/tension moves and a hideous mantel precede a semi-stance 10 feet up. From here, regroup, then dance up 10-12 more feet of slab to the top. The sit start is known as

Richter Scale

and is considered V10.

This problem is on the face just right of

The Dank Arete

.  Work up the face using sharp but positive holds and do a big reach to gain the top.

This line climbs the right, overhanging arete of a long, horizontal boulder sitting in the scree field. Sit start on a lefthand crimp in the roof and righthand on the right arete, climb a few feet until you can make the move for the open-handed lip on the left arete. Great topout and a few small crimps in the roof. Very RMNP style because of the moves, holds, and bright green lichen on the steep face of the boulder.

I cleaned a ton of dirt off of this route. It may have been done long ago, but it certainly did not seem to have been done any time in recent years.

Sit start on two sidepulls with good feet on left side of arete. Climb it straight on with a huge undercling out left. Throw up and climb jugs up. Watch out for the flake before the topout. This is aesthetic and fun. The biggest draw to cleaning and sending it was how pretty it is.

This was fairly dirty when we climbed it with lots of lichen near the top. The start is easy slab move that leads to cool jugs. The crux is near the top with a pebble pinch out right and sloper, jug sidepull out left to stand up to the slopey horizontal that trends right to top out. It has fun movement with a cool committing move up top. Just follow the obvious line of slightly overhanging jugs to the thin, low angle face above staying left of the tree.

If anyone has climbed this and would like the first ascent, please do tell.

This is a nice lowball problem. Traverse left from a sds on slopers. Gain the left side of the arete and up the buldge. It has a hard topout. It is a good problem!

Climb the left arete of the boulder on good holds.

This problem starts on the two obvious sidepull crimps on the face that's left of the V2 arete.  Move left off the crimps on tiny feet into a good lefthand edge, hit a righthand slot and from there you have two big moves straight up the face on decent holds, some footwork, and to the lip. Very nice problem.

This tall, beautiful face has at least a couple of routes on it, and although it may look a little chossy, all those tiny crimps and dime edges are solid. Directly in the center is a very cool line that climbs on tiny crimpers and very small edges for feet. It's slim pickings for holds, so delicate footwork and nice long reaches are involved. It's a pretty tall line, requiring a big move at the end as holds disappear, but the landing is pretty good with two pads. A few feet to the left looks easier, there's an arete to use, which would go at V3.

This thin route climbs the center of the north face of the boulder pictured here. I've highlighted it so you can kinda see where it goes. Follow a perfect sequence on clean, solid, small crimps and poor feet through the lower section of the face, then set up for a nice sized move to a flat lip 3/4 of the way up. Then you've got yourself a couple more feet to the top lip. Tabletop boulder with a walkoff. Very nice!.... Right side of the face has a great V2 that starts low and follows a slanted ledge and crimpy slots to the big right arete and up.

Start way down on two good holds.  Move up and left past a crimp, into the crux (core) out of the crux (dyno) and to a beautiful topout sequence.

The crux is very height dependent.  But if you are more than 6 ft tall you may not be able to do the moves low in the cave w/o dab.

If you have sloppy feet, a dab is likely.

Starting on a bomber undercling flake, slap up left to good side-pulls on the arete.  Good side-pull crimps out right.  Keep slapping left hand up the arete until you come into a small right hand side-pull/undercling.  The crux comes here with either a big move right hand or tenuous move left hand to a good hold on the arete.  Once here continue up the arete with a small right hand crimp to better holds.

Sit start low on a left hand crimp and a right hand edge. Go left to a small sidepull-crimp, set a shady right heel on the arete, and go for the lip if you can reach, otherwise try to use the right arete to get closer to the lip.
