Start just below the giant cobble and climb straight up by using a few good edges and a couple jugs to top it out.

Begin below a small fir tree growing from the rock. Climb up and left onto small edges left of the tree. Continue to diagonal left and escape around the arete.

, after matching the flake, only holds to the right of both vertical seams are on.  The original beta suggested, "once you've matched the flaky edge, crossover with your left hand to a thin, almost imperceptible edge on the highest sloping corner just right of the seam. Go up and right for the top, using bad edges and slopers on the right face." I reversed the sequence, going right to the small edge then left to holds on the face below the topout.

(VB)", and climb up and right along the slopey mini-arete.

Start just right of the crack that marks the start of "

Far Left Seam

(VB)", and move dynamically up through edges and jugs to a slopey finish.

Fun short route, it starts on the far right side of the Upper Y Traverse.  Begin with the good right facing finger flake, go left to a slopey hold/pinch up and left.  There is a couple decent slopey holds up and right, and a right facing sidepull jug for the finish.

The handholds are fairly positive and don't shred you finger tips too badly; the feet are small for an overhanging problem.

Find the left arm of the "Y" that splits this formation in two. Start at the base and climb the left-leaning ramp until reaching a good hold to top out with just before a seam.

At the far right end of the wall there is a large rounded hold, start below this hold sitting down.  Use two decent, incut crimps and smeared feet then lunge for a jug with your left hand then go right to the big slopping hold and straight up.  You do not have to actually mantle off the large hold if you don't want to, that would make the problem much harder.

Find the left arm of the "Y" that splits this formation in two. Ten feet  left of this crack is a thin seam. Just right of this seam are nice face holds. Climb straight up and over the left-leaning ramp.

This Traverse covers the whole of the area from left to right.  Start at whichever end you prefer.  This is often regarded as one of the best traverses in Flagstaff due to its overhanging but positive holds.  Many variations exist, come up with one of your own!

Climb the crack between the blobby pillar on the far left of the wall and the main formation.

This silly boulder problem is actually a combination of two equally silly boulder problems, but provides a good diversion if you're up on Flag and can't stomach the thought of another lap through your circuit.

It circumnavigates the little pee-smelling alcove on the south end  of the Upper Y Traverse in a counter-clockwise direction, off-routing: 1) The Ground. 2)The rock slabs near the ground. 3)Any holds *over* the lip of the boulders.

Start on the westernmost boulder and toedance lightly east across "the loaf". Lean over to the protruding fin, which you then mount (1st crux). Surf from the fin up and left (north) to the adjacent boulder (this is Hornucopia). Heel-hook your way along the lip on good horns, doing your best not to butt-drag. This boulder abuts a south-facing red wall. Transfer onto the wall (again, no butt-scumming) but don't step low onto the ramp. Now finish straight up the face (Panache).

You can also reverse the process, or do an out-and-back lap at V2.

The beginning is a great sequence of horizontal rails that starts on the right-most beginning of the

Y-Right

problem, then it veers right to a less-than-useful crack.  The final moves overcome the overhanging headwall on sloping crimps and bad rock straight to the very top.  The route was fun on toprope (and good anchor building practice), but I'd be scared shitless to do this solo.

Find the left fork of the "Y" that is in the center of the formation. Left of this fork about 10 feet is a thin seam. Start below and right of this seam. Climb incuts until there are none left, and move through to a sloper just right of the seam. Go straight up.

This ascends the second lobe of rock in from the right. Look for two right-facing, crescent moon crimps at chest height. Climb straight up through small crimps and a toss to the top. The large ledge to the right at mid-height is not part of the route.

This is Pinch Bulge (V2) from the ground.  The route on the right side of the wall though the dihedral groove and over. From the ground are obvious sit down holds and bad feet. Throw to the good flake above via big hard move.  Move through easy holds and throw to top or mantle and reach.

To the right of the "Y" crack, there is a pretty obvious line of jugs that moves straight up.  Start standing on the juggy rail, and move through good holds to a semi-slopey topout at about 20 feet.

Traverse left to right across the Y-Traverse wall, getting 15 feet up or so after the first 8 feet of climbing, and continuing 12-15 feet up, just under the little tree on the left side (be careful, don't damage it), then go up some, through good jugs, then straight right and slightly down through a long sloping rail. Enjoy a few fun ledges for the next 20 feet, then pass through the "

Y-Right

" highball, staying high still, all the way over to the far right side, finish 14 feet up, crossing down off a questionable, dark brown crimp, to the obvious, chalked left hand pinch, then cross up and far right, with your right hand, into the juggy finish up high.
